Two teenagers were apprehended after they attempted to steal merchandise from a Macy’s department store in Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday.At around 7:51 p.m. on Nov. 25, authorities with the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to calls of a theft in progress at the Macy’s located on the 12500 block of South Main Street, according to a news release.The teens, a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old female, attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. SAN JOSE — A firefighter was injured while responding to a fire in a motor home near The Alameda on Sunday night, according to the San Jose Fire Department.Fire officials received reports of the blaze on Cleaves Avenue around 7:21 p.m. Sunday; San Jose officials said a “motor home” had burned. The first group of firefighters found the vehicle burning as it sat between between Miami Liquor and Food and a residential structure.The fire, which was upgraded to a second alarm at 7:37 p.m., was extinguished by 7:51.One firefighter sustained unspecified non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital, according to SJFD. (KRON) -- A five-year-old girl who died after being swept out to sea in Half Moon Bay Saturday afternoon has been identified as Naretzi Navarrete of Merced.The girl was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead, according to U.S. Coast Guard officials. Coastal flood advisory issued for parts of Bay Area A 54-year-old man who has only been identified as the girl's grandfather was also swept out to sea. Rescue teams spent almost 24 hours searching a 100-square-mile area for the man before eventually suspending the search on Sunday.The girl and her grandfather were at Martins Beach in Half Moon Bay when the incident occurred.This is a developing story. (KRON) -- A woman who fatally struck a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk early Sunday had two kids in the vehicle, according to the San Jose Police Department. SJPD patrol officers responded to a hit-and-run report at around 12:34 a.m. Sunday in the area of the Capitol Expressway and Bluefield Drive.An investigation determined that a white 2016 Range Rover SUV was being driven by a woman and occupied by two juvenile passengers. The SUV was headed east on the Capitol Expressway when it hit a man who was crossing southbound. The man was in a marked crosswalk, police said.
